It happens to be poisonous and once your dog eats it, within some hours, either you will see him vomiting, restless or hyperactive, which will affect him in a negative way. The hard calcium bones can damage their teeth, or it can cause some obstruction in their lining. However, if you really want to feed bones to your dog, then the size can be small and make sure that it doesn’t break into pieces.

The ethanol inside alcohol can cause intoxication and therefore it is suggested to be kept away from dogs. And another con is, that the smaller your dog is, the more adverse effect alcohol will have over him.

4. Xylitol

Xylitol is present in baked foods, candies, toothpaste, etc. and it is a kind of artificial sweetener which can cause drastic changes in the blood sugar of your dog. Vomiting is the common symptom noticed after there’s an intake of Xylitol in the dog’s body. The symptoms can either occur immediately or within some minutes or a time period. And Xylitol may even cause liver failure inside your dog, even if he eats a small piece of any of the foods which contain Xylitol.
